Our work as long term care providers has taught us that it is often
very difficult to make the emotionally charged decisions about long term care for
a loved one or a friend. But our experience has also taught us that choosing the
right care option can make all the difference in an elder's physical, emotional
and social well-being. The key to a successful choice is for elders and families
to understand the options available and to plan ahead.
